soccer at the Stanford soccer fields
During the last weeks we were able to establish a regular soccer match. At first it was more or less SAP vs. Frog Design (a company just next to the SAP campus), but now more and more people joined the game and we have a soccer match every monday and wednesday at 6 pm at the Stanford soccer fields. And guess what: I bought some soccer shoes and can play without any pain from my old heel injury. I'm so happy :-) So guys, get prepared for my comeback when I'm back home *haha* We also plan to get some soccer shirts sponsored by SAP marketing and maybe one day we can set up a match against the guys from Sun or Google...

ESC workshop
This day Jan and me each gave a demo during the demo session of the ESC workshop at SAP Labs, Palo Alto. The audience were customers from the hardware sector and also Ike Nassi, the Senior Vice President of SAP Research Americas. (For those of you who are into computer science: that's the guy that co-created the Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams). Since we had a professional photographer for that event, here come some really nice pics.

BFD 2006
On sunday we went to BFD 2006 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, which was Northern California's Biggest Alternative Music Festival. It was a nice all-day event with great bands like Franz Ferdinand, HIM and AFI.

watching the soccer world cup @ SAP
Due to the time difference the world cup opening game between Germany and Costa Rica started at 9 a.m. for us. So we watched it at the SAP cafeteria.
So that's the way people at a software company in the U.S. enjoy the world cup games. Exciting, isn't it ;-)

Muir Woods
On 3rd of June Judith, Jens, Joern, Jan, Christin, Christian and me went to Muir Woods National Monument north of San Francisco and did some hiking.
On the way back we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge again and went to a beach close to San Francisco.
